Good luck, Fhiona :) I've been (mostly) vegetarian for quite a while now, but I would imagine taking that extra step will be quite a challenge.

hooray, Fhiona!!! i was vegetarian for 27 years before i went vegan (looks like we've been on the same path :) )...I originally went vegetarian b/c at a young age it dawned on me that the chicken breast I was cleaning had veins just like me (cementing in my mind I was eating a sentient being). I was so repulsed I've never looked back.

And then a few years ago I started researching the dairy/egg industry and realized the 'idyllic farm life' so many dairy/egg industries portray was false and the brutality was so sad I became vegan.

It has always been a moral issue for me, but having cut out dairy/eggs I've gotten rid of my daily migraines to boot. :)

We should share recipes! :)
