London photos & phones

A few more photos from last week when I was down in London. Didn't really get much opportunity to take photos and these are on my mobile phone so not that good. Check out the fancy wheels outside my hotel! There was a chauffeur with this car and he was out polishing the private license plate.
My mobile phone didn't work on the friday when I most needed it-no network!! so I order a new phone and received it on wed. Delighted!...that is until I dropped it and it broke! :0(
So now it's being repaired and costing me a fortune to boot.
It's sods law that the one time I get a decent mobile phone that is the one I decide to drop.

London trip

Recently I travelled down to London for a business meeting with clients. The travel was fine even though I had to do a lot of switches from planes, trains and buses etc.
It was so nice to see everyone in person and I was shown lots of my books that are in dummy stage at the moment and also a schedule of work that will keep me going for months to come so very happy! :0)) Everyone was very complimentary about my work which was lovely to hear. I even got in a little tiny bit of site seeing at Fulham palace where I saw the Bishops tree with it's quirky carvings.
The hotel I stayed at was fabulous with gorgeous rooms and a funky spa. Would recommend it to anyone thinking of treating themselves :0)

one of those days....

It's totally pants weather which makes me feel so fed up. I hate rain with a passion and it's really raining here today.
I'm still pretty busy doing book work and can't show any of that so here is a pattern I was working on in nov last year.
Roll on weekend!

2 years on.

2 years ago tomorrow will be the anniversary of my BC operation. I always reflect on what has happened to me from then on and generally I have to make myself remember how lucky I am to have had my diagnosis in enough time.
Please everyone do check yourselves for any new signs or differences in any part of your body. Listen to your body. Prevention is better than cure.
Cancer is a disease that is very, very sneaky. It's scary how it can be creeping around the body very easily undetected.
So don't worry about bothering your GP! If you feel there is something not right go sooner rather than later.

Have a great weekend everyone!

2 new books!

I'm happy to announce publication of the first of these board books I've been working on with Little Tiger.
They are due out on the 3rd of march and you can get them on their website here or on Amazon.
The concentric circles you can see in the cover designs are die cut holes that go through the whole book.
I'll try and get some pics of the spreads later.

3 seasonal chunkies scented books

These are 3 books I worked on a little while back that are now published but I am waiting on copies still. You can purchase them here or on Amazon. Apparently they have a scent to them....intrigued to find out how that works :0)

past work

Was searching through my archive of work and put these together. A small selection of some of the elements I liked from the work I did for Nick Jr between 2009-2011 on the "Bedtime stories". They were really fun projects to work on but very labour intensive. Sometimes I felt I just didn't have enough time to really do the work justice but they had their timescale and I had to stick with it, lots of weekends and late night work. The stories were read by celebs and appeared on "the EarlyWorm show". I even got a follow up email from Donna Air's assistant asking if I would maybe be interested in doing some work with her on a children's book but unfortunately nothing came to fruition.
