I've gone vegan. After 28 years of being a veggie I've decided it's time to be more compassionate towards animals and cut out the dairy products too. I know it won't be for everyone but I do urge people to try and think more about what they eat and why they eat it.

the weather is getting me down. I can't get motivated with my work at all at the moment which is odd for me so I'm blaming the weather-soon it'll be this stuff,

which is fine as long as we get loads and it lies but it won't cos we're in the UK and snow is seriously pathetic here :0(

Give me clearly defined seasons please!!!

All we're getting is rain, cold, wind and grey... very disappointing to wake up to each day.

Someone said on facebook this week "does anyone even look at blogs anymore?" Well I do. I check my follow blogs every day. It does seem funny though when you've got a few followers that you only get a very small amount of actual comments.

If I follow a blog it's cos I actually want to see what they are posting and I do make comments when I feel it's warranted.

So I'd say, if you have looked at someone's work it's nice to leave a comment, however small it is. It's always encouraging to know that people out there are actually taking notice and you're not just posting to thin air :0)

Oh and thanks so much to all my lovely followers-nearly getting to the 100 stage! Woopee!

I hate my hair-there I've said it.
I coloured it last week at the hairdressers to the tune of £80 and I hate it. Why oh why did I think it was good idea to go darker-I look ill! I can't even post a pic of myself cos I hate it so much so instead here is a little pic of a monster I did a while back.
I think I'll start wearing my hat til I save up to get my hair done again.

Hi people.

I am still so very busy with work and having no time to do any self promo work other than this little scribble of a mushroom. Sorry I can't show any of the work I'm on at the mo'-hopefully soon!

I'm doing 2 toy designs, 2 kids puzzles, 2 kids books, several illustrations for a scottish website (buildings and landscape), a card design, a school website design and a pending job for 3 kids books going up to 6.

in light of all the riots going on in England I've been hearing this tune in my head by XTC. It's so poignant and yet was on an album that appeared in 1982 (English settlement). The lyrics of the song say it all. I am filled with disgust and dismay at the youths perpetrating these crimes. I hope some discipline and calm will resume soon and that the people affected will again feel safe.

Hi everyone-hope you've all been good while I've been away enjoying myself in Turkey-sunning, scuba diving, speed boating, parasailing and seeing the lovely Loggerhead turtles! Was bliss!

While away a very kind client sent me a copy of this card I did work for a few years back. This is the 1st time I've seen it!

Always nice to see how your work is used in the end.

I've also come back to some happy news! I'll be doing more Nick Jr work in august :0)

I've got quite a lot on right now-still on kids books and quite a few illustrations for a website to start.

I am a sucker for anything related to animals and I found this online and it made me cry.

I love my dog very much and sometimes it hard to take knowing he'll only be here for a few more short years. Not very happy thoughts I know but I do really like this poster and the thoughts behind it cos it's so true.

Well I wish I could do this but sadly,as usual, we are having pants weather here in Scotland.

I cannot believe this is the summer....it's like autumn. Cold, wet and windy and throughly depressing.

However on the good side I will be taking a 2 week holiday very soon-hurray and I WILL BE IN THE SUN-HEAVEN! Turkey here I come....aaaaah.

I am on a mission to get as much work done as possible before I go of course. As always there seems to be a hundred and one things needing done and to be remembered.

Of course seen both films several times cos they are among my faves but never read the books.

Got another couple of books to take with me as well "Sovereign" by CS Sansom and "Pride and Prejudice with Zombies"-yes!

I love reading on holiday :0)

Still keeping really busy and got another job in last night but it's still at spec stage so not sure how it will go yet but hopefully my work will be picked. Nice subject-aquarium and related theme.

So better get on a plough through the work!

My age is starting to show. Needed glasses for 1st time in my life but only for reading. They are weird to wear but I'll get used to them I suppose. They should make sketching easier too which I seem to be doing a lot more of of late.

On a more"off topic" note I wonder if any of you girlies (or way out guys!!) out there could help me?
I'm looking for a "real" WATERPROOF MASCARA for my hols this year. Something that will withstand swimming under water. Is there such a thing?
Everything I see online, the reviews only deal with being able to cope with crying or sweating or rain...I want mega water attack proof mascara!!
I bought a Blinc trial size and it's rubbish! No volume and it came off pretty easily in water.
Any good experiences from anyone??-would be really appreciated :0)))

Hope everyone had a splendid bank hols and enjoyed the Royal wedding!!
I'm still very busy although managed to get the bank hols off :0))
I've got a potential 2 more jobs today and others in pipeline.
Still got old jobs since dec ongoing...
I'm finding it difficult to post any illustrations these days as I've no time to develop anything personal and I can't show anything I'm working on.

On a more personal note, got out for 2 mile jog last night with my dog. Poor thing, he seems to have strained a muscle and is limping a little so he'll have to rest it a bit. no more jogs for him for a while. No excuse for me though-I'll be out again tomorrow and will be upping the mileage over the next few weeks (hope I can anyway!!)
Also as part of my health kick I'm watching what I eat. No dieting, just being sensible. Lots of nice salad and peppermint tea! Exercise more plus less food equals slimmer!

Got a dentist appointment today -a little chunk of a filling came out the other night when I was munching on a tortilla chip! :0(
I'm on a bit of a health kick right now to try and get in shape for summer.
Been on 2 jogs-last night out with my dog. He's good at keeping the pace :0)

Work wise I'm hellish busy. Was working last night til 8.30 which isn't too bad at all. Got so much on and it's all kids work which is great fun :D

No-I'm not a big fan of Michael Macdonald but I do LOVE this song as heard in one of my fave films "Leaving Las Vegas" you just got to jig along with it :0)

I can't post any work here cos it's all top secret of course but when I can I will!
Just got another job today and it's for a very big high street shop worldwide so pretty excited! woo hoo!
